Historical Significance

1720 has been the date of construction traditionally assigned to this house. The 1830 map does not, however, show a house on this corner lot. A house first appears here labeled B.F. Weston in 1852. From c. 1855-1885 Leonard Mitchell, farmer, owned this house. By the 1890s Freeman Jones, farmer, lived here. Further research is needed to determine the early history of this structure.
