Architectural Significance

This is a c. late 19th century double house with a rectangular form, projecting entrance porch and low hip roof. In the center of the 5-bay main facade are paired entrances.

Historical Significance

This house was apparently moved to this site after 1903. It was apparently used to house the workers of E.L. Cook Brick Company which was located further to the southeast at the head of Cook Street from 1891 - 1913. In 1913 this company sold out to Stiles and Hart of Taunton—this company is still in operation on Cook Street and is known for its manufacture of paving and face brick.
