Architectural Significance
This is a relatively rare example of the Queen Anne style in Bridgewater. Its Queen Anne characteristics include an irregular, corner towered plan, contrast of smooth clapboards (1st floor) and rough wood shingles (2nd floor)—also of interest is the front porch with its turned posts and sawcut brackets.
Historical Significance
This house was built c. 1890 for Samuel J. Kingston, machinist.
