Architectural Significance
Together with #116 Center St., this house provides a picturesque backdrop for the Center and Aldrich Sts. intersection. Built c. mid 1850s, this Italianate vernacular frame cottage is composed of a 1 1/2 story, sidehall plan main block 1 1/2 story side ell. The front door reatures a bracketed hood. Windows are fully enframed with cornice headed lintels and contain 2/2 wood sash.
Historical Significance
This house is part of a cluster of mid-late 19th c. cottages at the Center-Aldrich Sts. Crossroads—the focal point of this area is St. Thomas Aquinas Church. Built at some point in the 1850s, an S. Walker lived here during the 1870s. By the early 1900s Roscoe S. Hunt, painter, lived here.
