Architectural Significance

This was built as a barn c. 1850 and converted to residential use c. 1890s.

Historical Significance

Originally a barn, this structure was built by the Lazell, Perkins Iron Works (Bridgewater Iron Co.) during this company's building campaign of 1845-1860. It is part of the enclave of iron workers cottages at Bolton PI. and Wall St. (Stanley). It appears labeled "Barn" on the 1873 map of the town center.
