Architectural Significance
This is a simple 1 1/2 story, side hall plan Greek Revival cottage with bold, classicized entrance enframements. It is enclosed by a gable roof with return eaves. Windows retain 6/6 wood sash. This house is of interest for its pleasing proportions and the solidity of its form.
Historical Significance
Built c. 1850 , this house was for over half a century associated with Lewis B. Dunbar. He is listed in late 19th c. directories as an "upper and sole cutter."
