Architectural Significance

This property is of interest primarily for its large farm structures-e.g. several barns of considerable age. The dwelling is a simple irregular plan Greek Revival/Italianate cottage with rear additions and a c. 1900 Colonial Revival porch with Tuscan columns.

Historical Significance

This house was built c. 1845 for Phillip H. Wing, a lumber dealer. He lived here until at least the late 1870s and may have been responsible for the house's construction. This property's barns, fields and wetlands contribute greatly to the unspoiled rural character of the Pratt town area.
