Architectural Significance

This is a wellcrafted 5-bay x 2-bay Cape Cod cottage. It possesses a center hall plan, entrance with 5-pane transom, batton door and 6/6 wood sash windows.

Historical Significance

This house was built c. 1835 by and for Horace Wentworth, carpenter. His house is listed as "pleasant, opposite Scotland Cemetery" in the 1870s directories. By the early 1900s a Ralph Dow, architect, owned this property.
