Architectural Significance

Together with its landscape features (old trees, curving driveway, granite retaining blocks along low rise) this Italianate, center hall plan cottage provide an unspoiled glimpse of 19th c. Pratt town. Its 3-bay main facade feature a sawcut, bracketed door hood, window lintels feature interesting primative dog tooth dentils. To the rear of main block is a 1 story ell. The house rests on a brick basement and is enclosed by a gable roof.

Historical Significance

During the late 19th-early 20th centuries this house was owned by the family of Phillip H. Wing, lumber dealer. Although the house not indicated on the 1879 map, directories indicate that a Stephen Wing, farmer lived here in 1874/75.
